Black Friday Starts Thanksgiving Night: Remember to Lock Doors and Set Alarm

Black FridayWith retailers opening Black Friday shopping Thanksgiving night, be smart about locking up before you get in line. Stores like Wal-Mart and Target are opening at 8 and 9 p.m. respectively, and odds are people may start lining up right after an early feast (so possibly 3 or 4 p.m.). If you and your family take part in the retail mad dash, remember to lock doors and windows, arm your alarm system, leave a few lights on and perhaps even some music playing to give the impression that you stayed in to relax by the fireplace.

Remember that as a Capital Connect customer, you can control and monitor anything in your home with the Alarm.com smart phone app. This way, if you forgot to lock up while caught up in the excitement of huge bargains; you can do so when waiting in line.
